Is air conditioning noisy?

Not anymore. While it is true that air conditioning units used to emit a constant and noticeable humming noise, our modern systems are whisper quiet, and even have a silent mode that can be switched on during the night for restful sleep.

Is it expensive to run?

At ADS Cooling, we see to it that all the units we install have a European Energy Efficiency rating of A+ or better. What this means for you is an enviable level of energy efficiency, making it a cost-effective solution whether used to cool or heat your property.

Do air conditioning units make good heaters?

When we think of air conditioners, we tend to think of them as devices for cooling the air in a given property, but the fact is that most modern air conditioning systems are capable of delivering hot air as well as cold. Indeed, not only can they warm your house, they can do it more efficiently (up to four-times as efficiently) as a standard electric heater. Perhaps more importantly, heating is quicker and more evenly distributed, as well as being controlled from a central control panel, making it possible to adjust the heating to your preferred level, all over the house.

How long does it take for an air conditioning installation?

It is impossible to say, as it depends on a number of factors, not least of which are the size of the property and the complexity of the system being installed. Before we provide you with your unique, no-obligation quote, our engineers will visit your house to check out the installation site, at which point they will be better placed to estimate the time it will take to install. Of course, we take great pains to complete every installation as quickly and as smoothly as we can, but we do not believe in rushing our engineers. Our professional technicians work with skill and efficiency, and every unit is installed in as timely a manner as can be hoped for.

Will there be a lot of disruption?

Installing an air conditioning unit is a major building improvement and, by definition, will almost certainly cause some disruption to the household or office. However, our team of engineers have decades of experience in the field and make every effort to keep disruption to the absolute minimum.

How are the systems controlled?

It is really down to you. We have a number of controllers available, depending on your specific requirements. These range from the traditional wall-mounted control panels on one or more walls of the property, through to remote controllers that operate wirelessly, or a system that works via an app on your smartphone.
